What are Test Rig Pumps?
Test rig pumps are pumps used to enable testing of components, testing of concepts and also in educational machines for the understanding of engineering principles such as fluid dynamics.
As new equipment is developed or innovation in liquids such as fuels- a small scale plant known as a pilot plant is built as proof of concept allowing testing to take place to ensure any issues are addressed prior to full plant assembly, for limits to be tested and established and reduce risk prior to full scale manufacture.
Educational test rigs use pumps to test fluid dynamics and understand fixed and smooth bed flow, the mechanics of sediment transfer, subcritical and super critical flow. We have worked with a number of OEMS to provide pumps which deliver according to your requirements:
