IMO Spare Parts

IMO Pumps have been manufacturing pumps since the 1920s, they are a leading manufacturer of positive displacement triple screw pumps and gear pumps. Manufacturing adheres to ISO 9001 management systems and they have been awarded TS 16949 certification.

They supply pumps for various industries, including; crude oil refineries, chemical, marine, oil and gas, power generation and many more. Fluids being pumped must have lubricating properties for the pump to function correctly, common fluids include; low sulphur gas oil, marine diesel, heavy fuel oil and jet fuel.

North Ridge Pumps have a great deal of experience supplying spare parts for Imo pumps and supplying exact replacement pumps or dimensionally interchangeable pumps from alternative manufacturers.

FAQS

We supply all parts associated with Imo screw pumps, these include; driving screws, idler screws, screw sets, casings, mechanical seals, o-rings and gaskets. Any parts labelled on the drawing and parts list are available for purchase, either individually or as part of a kit. Various overhaul kits are available for minor to major overhauls.
The pump needs to be disassembled and inspected as part of a maintenance program to correctly identify any damaged parts. The drawing and parts list then need to be viewed to find the correct part description and position number.
The basic information required to obtain a quotation includes; the pump model number, serial number if available, description or name of the part and the position number of the part if available. This information allows us to correctly identify the parts required and to identify the correct materials.
Premature pump failure can be an indication of system problems or incorrect pump selection. Common causes of premature pump failure include; incompatibility of the pump materials with the fluid, incorrect pipework size, incorrect type of pump and incorrect size of pump. We can help identify the cause of your pump failure if you provide the following information; description of the application, fluid being pumped, viscosity, temperature, flow rate required, pressure required, inlet conditions and bore of pipework.
This depends on several factors; how frequently are spare parts required? how long has the pump been in operation? and the price of the required spare parts versus the cost of a complete new pump. For example, if a new casing, screw set and mechanical seal are required, then it is more cost effective to purchase a complete new pump as a large proportion of the high value parts are required. If the pump is wearing frequently and prematurely, then this may be an indication that the wrong type or size of pump is installed. It is a good idea to talk to us in this situation as we may be able to identify the issue with your pump or system and select a more suitable pump for your requirements.
Yes, we can help. We can select an alternative type, size or brand of pump if you provide the following information; description of the application, fluid being pumped, viscosity, temperature, flow rate required, pressure required, inlet conditions and bore of pipework. Using a different type or size of pump that is more suited to your application could help reduce your running and maintenance costs.
This kit contains the power rotor or driving spindle, 2 idler rotors, a shaft key and balancing piston. They are sold as a set as the parts must intermesh and have very small clearances. They are sold as a set individually (G012) or included as part of a major overhaul kit with gaskets and seals in the G054 Major Kit. An overview can be seen in our IMO Spare Part coding PDF above
This kit contains replacement parts for the overhaul of the relief valve such as valve cover, washers, O Rings, spindle and Springs. A full list of the parts can be seen in our IMO Spare Part Coding PDF located above with pictures
This contains parts from two kits the G053 and G012 to form a major overhaul kit for pumps. A full breakdown of the parts is detailed in the IMO Spare part coding pdf above
This kit contains a lot of the smaller gaskets, rings and sealing washers which should be changed after performing maintenance on the pump such as when a replacement screw set is installed. It is included as part of a G054 Major Kit and sold alone.
This contains all of the gaskets, seals and O rings located within the pump. A full breakdown of the parts can be seen in the IMO spare part kit coding pdf
