Chemical Transfer Article

Chemical transfer pump rangeChemical transfer is the process of moving chemicals from bulk storage container to another location for the purpose of creating a reaction and new fluid, circulation to prevent component parts separating or dispensing for use during a process.

Chemicals can be difficult to specify pumps for due to the various concentrations of chemicals making up the fluid, and temperature range of the fluid both of which affect the corroding capability and material compatibility. Furthermore, some fluids have their composition protected by the manufacturing brand to ensure they can not be copied making material selection difficult.

Such fluids are typically pumped with materials such as duplex or stainless steel, plastic pumps comprising of PP, PVDF, or plastic-lined pumps. Pumps can be selected which are sealless ensuring there is full containment of the fluid and zero chance of leakage or fitted with a mechanical seal for liquids whose composition may change when exposed to air.

North Ridge Pumps supplies a comprehensive range of pumps for varying industrial applications - view chemical transfer pumps here.
