Fuel Transfer

Fuel Transfer pump range

Fuel transfer pumps and fuel oil pumps are pumps used in the transfer of fuels and oils. Due to the wide definition, such pumps can be broken down depending on use and type. Fuel can be classed as any liquid being used to transfer liquid which will be ignited to produce energy and includes: Kerosene, Petrol, Gasoline, Marine Gas Oil (MGO), HFO (Heavy Fuel Oil), LSFO (Low Sulphur Fuel Oil), and Marine Diesel Oil (MDO).

Fuel transfer can cover a wide variety of quantities. Terms used to describe such applications include:

  • Bulk Transfer – Pumps for handling large volumes of fluid such as for fuel terminals, tanker loading and tanker unloading/stripping.

  • Fuel Dispensing – Pumps for handling small quantities <1000L per time to fill vehicles, empty containers or decant into smaller containers

  • Burner Feed – Pumps for very low flow rates which are used to supply burners through high-pressure nozzles which are used to atomise fluids creating a fuel/air mixture which is ignited.
