Hygienic Pump Connections
An Overview of Hygienic Pump Connections Available on Pumps
Pumps can be fitted with a variety of different socketed pipework connections with different features and hygiene ratings. The below overview aims to cover some of the differences between the various types of connections available on pumps as although certain types of fitting may be hygienic they are not cleaning in place friendly meaning to maintain an effective hygiene program, the pump must be frequently dissassembled and cleaned manually:
Image of Fitting | Fitting Type | Description |
