Azcue Pumps
Azcue Pumps (formerly known as Bombas Azcue) are a manufacturer of Type Approved Marine Pumps established in 1910 in Zumaia - the Basque region of Spain.
Pumps are Cast, machined and assembled at their LLoyds approved Foundry which has been semi-automated to allow the swift, efficient and unrivalled production of castings in materials from Cast Iron, to Bronze, Aluminium Bronze, Stainless and Duplex Steels.
This allows pumps to handle a wide range of fluids from Seawater, fuels, and Acidic scrubber water, to chemicals, enabling all marine requirements to be catered for. This enables complete packages of pumps & commissioning for vessels to be provided by one manufacturer during vessel builds.
Designs of pumps include centrifugal, and rotary and reciprocating positive displacement pumps which are individually tested on-site. Models can be operated via electric motor, air motor, clutch/pulley, hydraulically or via an engine.
As pumps are type approved, they can be supplied with any Classification Society Witness Certification confirming suitability for on board use. Models are also available with ATEX certification where applications demand this.
Units are modular in design, often sharing parts with similar models meaning there is interchangeability of spares across models, reducing stock holding onboard. Spares are supplied for a minimum of 15 years from discontinuation of any model.
Azcue also manufacture Hydrophore Systems for the production of pressurised water and seawater, bulkhead penetrations and variable speed drive Energy Saving pump systems.
