Mechanical Industry
The mechanical industry is an industry which involves the maintenance of machines, machining equipment, gearboxes and waste liquids from processes. Fluids such as oils and greases have to replenished frequently as when the fluids continually recirculate around machinery and parts they begin to collect contaminants discolouring oils reducing its lubrication properties. Similarly, with machining fluids such as coolants, they can begin to collect water and particles reducing the effectiveness of the coolant leading to the fluids being removed, flushed and replenished.
Examples of processes within the mechanical industry are:
Transformer Filling
Gearbox emptying and refiling
Coolant circulation and removal
Oils and Fats removal
Solvents removal
Waste oil collection and removal
Waste Products removal
We can assist with the collection, flushing and removal of the above liquids by specifying pumps with the following features:
Reversibility – To allow the emptying of pipework and refilling.
Solids handling – As liquids can contain metal particles at times
Wide viscosity handling – Handling of oils, sludges and thin liquids
Self Priming – Ensuring pump remains above tank
Dry Running – reduces the possibility of pump damage and also helps with priming across long distances.
Portability – Portable between processes
