Spraying Article

Spraying pump rangeSpraying is a process whereby a liquid is pumped through a nozzle at high or low pressure to atomise the fluid with air, or fluid alone ensuring coverage of material. There are various different spraying methods which can be utilised such as:

Airless - Atomises the material being sprayed utilising pressure alone without using air. The material is diffused into a fine jet spray.

Aircoat - Material forced through the nozzle at low pressure with compressed air to assist atomisation HVLP (High Volume Low Pressure) - Utilising a high volume of air at low pressure causes the liquid to atomise when ejected through a nozzle causing larger droplet sizes and less mist-like appearance.

Spraying can be used in a number of industries such as:

- Paint Spraying for covering final products including lacquers, glazes, varnish, emulsion, plated metals and paints
- Spraying of bitumen which is used as a waterproof membrane on roofs, pipes, felts and other items
- Spraying of water and detergent for cleaning, cutting materials or removal of paint
- Spraying of water for odour and dust control as the water droplets capture small dust and odour particles
- Feeding of spray bars with fluids
