All factories worldwide produce wastewater in some form. Whether it be from the washing of fruit and vegetables, washdown or rinsing of machines, cooling, or commissioning of equipment. It is the responsibility of the owners and staff to follow guidelines set out to protect people and the environment.

Manufacturing facilities generate a lot of waste that needs disposing of in a safe and environmentally friendly manner. We assisted a leading UK clothing manufacturer that produces a slurry biproduct consisting of waste industrial clothing fabric fragments of 500 micron or less mixed with water, the water content allows the slurry to freely flow into large concrete sumps for disposing of in bulk at a later stage.

Specified by another manufacturer, the frequent wear of the hose was causing repeated maintenance on a system which was often left unattended for long periods of time, and an issue which required rectifying swiftly as the effectiveness of wastewater treatment was at risk of being compromised. The customer was losing faith in the technology and wondered if another solution may reduce maintenance intervals.

A dye house was having issues with their current Vertical Immersion sump pump used for the circulation of effluent within their facility.
