It is always exciting and rewarding to assist University students and trainee engineers with their projects. One such student was preparing to perform an experiment requiring very low flow rates for cooling a laser.

A UK customer contacted us urgently requiring a solution to unload a 24,000L tanker containing Ethanol due to them within 2 days, to dispense into IBC’s.

The ideal solution for the customer was to have one model of pump suitable for all processes and fluids, this was certainly a challenge as all materials must be chemically resistant to all the fluids being transferred, but one we are all too familiar with and had great success with in the past. We knew that a peristaltic hose pump was the perfect solution for this customer as it is one of the most versatile and configurable units available.

Chemicals are used for many processes during textile manufacturing and transferring these safely, efficiently and in precise amounts is crucial to the operation. A UK plant was in urgent need of 6 chemical transfer pumps to ensure that production was not halted and ultimately revenue lost.
