Azcue CM Pump & Spare Parts

Since their formation in 1910, Azcue Pumps have manufactured marine grade type approved pumps from their factory and onsite foundry in Zumaia, Spain. Previously operating under the name of Bombas Azcue, they have become a dominating force in the manufacture and supply of marine pumps for all vessel applications.

Their CM range of vertical inline long coupled centrifugal pumps are excellent for applications where space saving and easy access to the pump internal components are paramount. This series has a special coupling design that allows the internal components to be accessed for maintenance without having the remove the motor or disconnect the pump from the pipework. The largest models within the range can produce high flow rates up to 1500m³/hr and pressures up to 13 bar.

With their onsite foundry, Azcue have the flexibility produce their CM series of vertical inline centrifugal pumps in various materials to suit a wide range of marine vessel applications, including cast iron, ductile iron, bronze, aluminium bronze, stainless steel 304/316 and duplex stainless steel. By adhering to type approved standards from classification bodies such as Lloyds, DNV, Bureau Veritas and ABS, these pumps are dimensionally interchangeable with current installed pumps or can be specified for new applications involving sea water, fresh water and low viscosity fuel oils such as the below:

·         Ballast transfer and ballast water treatment systems

·         Sea water general service

·         High temperature and low temperature Boiler feed

·         Sea water/Fresh water cooling

·         Aquaculture

·         Low solids content grey water transfer

·         Fuel transfer, including marine diesel.

·         Sea water injection

·         Scrubber systems

Special versions with either electric (CM-EP Version) or air powered (CM-VP Version) priming pumps to make a complete self-priming pump are available on request. CM series pumps with high temperature seals and Atex versions for flammable fluids/environments can also be manufactured if required.

FAQS

We supply all parts associated with the Azcue CM series of long coupled vertical inline centrifugal pumps, these include; impellers, shafts, mechanical seals, casings, o-rings and gaskets. Any parts labelled on the drawing and parts list are available for purchase.
The pump needs to be disassembled and inspected as part of a maintenance program to correctly identify any damaged parts. The drawing and parts list then need to be viewed to find the correct part description and position number.
The basic information required to obtain a quotation includes; the pump model number, serial number if available, description or name of the part and the position number of the part if available. This information allows us to correctly identify the parts required and to identify the correct materials. The serial number is a 6 digit number, beginning with either 1, 2, 3 or 4 depending on the age of the pump.
Premature pump failure can be an indication of system problems or incorrect pump selection. Common causes of premature pump failure include; incompatibility of the pump materials with the fluid, incorrect pipework size, incorrect type of pump and incorrect size of pump. We can help identify the cause of your pump failure if you provide the following information; description of the application, fluid being pumped, viscosity, temperature, flow rate required, pressure required, inlet conditions and bore of pipework.
This depends on several factors; how frequently are spare parts required? how long has the pump been in operation? and the price of the required spare parts versus the cost of a complete new pump. For example, if a new casing, impeller, shaft and mechanical seal are required, then it is more cost effective to purchase a complete new pump as a large proportion of the high value parts are required. If the pump is wearing frequently and prematurely, then this may be an indication that the wrong type or size of pump is installed. It is a good idea to talk to us in this situation as we may be able to identify the issue with your pump or system and select a more suitable pump for your requirements.
No, the position numbers of the spare parts from the drawings are generic codes consistent across all pump ranges. For example, 4200 is the code for mechanical seal and 4610 is the code for o-rings. This is to make it simple for customers when requesting quotations for spare parts, the full part code is obtained once the goods have been shipped.
The VAC priming pump is bolted to the main centrifugal pump and connected via pipework, this unit has its own model number and serial number. We require the model number, serial number and list of required parts in order to provide a quotation.
The VAC pump is fitted to the main centrifugal pump to assist with priming. It is designed to run for a short period of time before it begins to overheat, approximately 30 seconds. If the distance you are priming is significant and causing a long priming time, then you will require a cooling tank to assist the VAC pump or to switch to an air driven priming device to avoid overheating entirely.
There are four sizes of coupling bush for Azcue pumps, they are designated as A1, A2, A3 and A4. These are supplied in packs of 6 or 9 depending on the size of coupling and how many slots it contains.
The Kit Mini contains the Mechanical Seal (4200.1) Threaded Plug (6578.1), Gasket (4590.4), O Rings (4610.1 & 4610.2) and a Set of Coupling Bushes (7414) which should be replaced at the time of seal replacement.
The Kit Medium contains the Kit Mini (Mechanical Seal, Threaded Plug, Casing Gasket, O Rings, & Coupling Bushes), Wear Rings for both sides of the impeller (1500.1 & 1500.2), a Set of two ball bearings (3011.1 & 3011.2), Shaft Seal Rings (4305.1 & 4305.2) & Spacer Ring (2510).
The Kit Max contains the Kit Mini (Mechanical Seal, Threaded Plug, Casing Gasket, O Rings, & Coupling Bushes), Kit Medium (Wear Rings, Ball Bearings, Shaft Seal Rings, & Spacer Ring), the Impeller (2200) and Impeller Nut (2912)
