From their state-of-the-art factory in Northern Spain, Azcue pumps have manufactured marine type approved pumps for over 100 years. Previously operating under the name of Bombas Azcue, they have become a market leader with their pumps now installed onboard over 10,000 marine vessels.
Amongst their range is the BT-HH series of close coupled high-pressure triple screw pumps, these positive displacement pumps are designed for transferring fuels such as marine diesel and low sulphur gas oil, and low and high viscosity lubricating oils for all ship wide applications. This range can be installed either horizontally or vertically, the design is compact and robust with the largest models capable of producing flow rates up to 30m³/hr and high pressures up to 50 bar.
Having their own foundry located directly next door to the factory allows Azcue the flexibility to produce their pumps quickly in a wide range of materials. The casing of the BT-HH screw pumps can be manufactured in either aluminium, cast iron or ductile iron and the screws can be machined from nitrided cast iron, nitrided steel or hardened steel depending on application requirements.
Azcue’s entire range of triple screw pumps are marine type approved by all classification bodies including ABS, Lloyds, DNV and Bureau Veritas. The BT-HH series is dimensionally interchangeable with other manufacturer’s pumps currently installed onboard ships, or they can be specified for new applications involving fuels and oils such as the below:
· Lube oil transfer
· Lubricating oil circulation
· Fuel transfer, including Diesel (DO), Marine diesel oil (MDO), Low sulphur marine gas oil (LSMGO), Heavy fuel oil (HFO)
· Fuel oil cargo loading and unloading
· Burner/boiler feed
· Fuel oil separators
Special versions with high temperature seals, magnetic drive and Atex versions for flammable fluids/environments can be manufactured on request.
