RC Series SBoxer 100 - 1” AODD Pump
The RC SBoxer 100 Series of 1” AODD pumps have been designed for applications where a pump may be integrated as part of a machine for controlled output of a liquid within a metering and dosing application.
The RC Series is designed to be controlled remotely via an external PLC and solenoid valves which control the volume of air injected into each diaphragm. Air is injected separately into each side of the pump via the two central air inlet ports. It is constructed without a central air exchanger containing only a shaft within the central block.
The external PLC also controls the speed, number of cycles, switching point and volume of air transferred into the pump during each cycle ensuring the metered output is inline with process requirements.
Typical fluids that this design of pump are used for include inks, chemicals, glues & adhesives, liquid slurries containing solid particles, gels, resins, fuels, oils and grout.
The accuracy of the pump is determined by the volume in each chamber and they are often used in conjunction with flowmeters in applications requiring a high dosing accuracy.
Based on the same design of our existing boxer design where diaphragms can be supplied in a variety of materials including NBR, Santoprene, EPDM, Hytrel and PTFE.
This range of pump is truly versatile having the ability to handle viscosities up to 20000cp, and solid passage up to 4mm making it suitable for handling a vast range of fluids that are far beyond the capabilities of other pump types. It also has a very gentle pumping action making it excellent for handling shear sensitive fluids.
This diaphragm pump is Atex zone 2 as standard meaning it is suitable for operation in non safe potentially flammable environments. As an option, this pump can be constructed for an Atex zone 1 environment if required. This AODD pump is also able to run in high humidity environments which may cause issues for other pumps fitted with electric motors.
The RC SBoxer 100 AODD pump is able to run dry for long periods and is capable of self-priming up to 4m vertically from dry, but when wetted can prime up to 9M. The flow rates from this diaphragm pump can be varied very easily altered allowing the operator to control flow rates precisely. This unit can achieve flow rates up to 160L/min.
Features:
- Self Priming from Dry up to 4M (9M when wetted)
- Solid Handling
- Adjustable flow
- Wide viscosity handling with the ability to handle suspended solids
- Wide range of materials ensures suitability across a range of process fluids. They can be made in POMc (Polyoxymethylene Copolymer) an engineered plastic with excellent strength, stiffness, strong fatigue and creep resistant. Chemically compatible with oils and organic solvents. Units are also available in UHMWPE / PE1000 (Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene) which offers excellent corrosion resistance, high impact strength, with self lubricating properties.
- Operates on non lubricated air
- Available with ATEX 1 or 2 Certification, and IECEX Certification
