Marine Pumps

Marine Pumps are pumps which are subjected to shipbuilding classification society rules regarding their application, construction, and testing. The term marine pumps cover a vast array of pump applications onboard vessels and offshore structures. Varying features of marine pumps include:

- Pumps with differing frequencies (50/60hz) and voltages
- Self Priming due to long suction pipework which can be untraceable at times
- Manometers and vacuometers to check suction and discharge pressures
- Suitable for narrow spaces with pumps
- Vertical execution as spaces are often limited horizontally but vertical space is more readily available
- Bulkhead penetrations with pump drive being connected through the structure
- Spacer coupling to enable pumps which are crucial to the operation and have long-running periods to be maintained in situ quickly without removal of the motor
